Life Lately: Cafes, Catch-ups and Culottes

July Round Up

I’m sitting writing this post in a cute little cafe in the Northern Quarter  with a completely Instagram-able Hot Chocolate (Fig + Sparrow, if you’re interested) and I feel as though I’ve hit peak blogger.

I thought it was about time we had a little catch up about life and what’s been going on in the last month.

So, if you read my post about graduating, you’ll know this is something that I haven’t done this Summer. And you know what? I’m feeling pretty bloody great about it. I’m interning at a wonderful PR company along with my Editorial Internship and i’m getting some great experience off some of the best in the industry. I’ve learnt more about myself in the last 7 months than I have in 21 years and I think that’s something to be proud of.

My cousin visited from Seattle and we had a great catch-up. It made me realise how much I miss my trip to Washington and I definitely want to go back there asap.

I’ve started to make more time to read again, which is something that I used to do every day. My current favourite is The Girl on the Train, I can’t believe it took me so long to pick it up! I finished it in 3 days and I highly recommend you give this book a go- full post coming on this soon…

In terms of the blog, I’ve been researching changing over to a self-hosted site! It may happen soon, I just don’t know where to begin!

I’ve had quite a busy couple of months with events which is something I still can’t get my head around. I’m so grateful that companies want me at their launches etc and I’ve experienced some pretty amazing things recently, which never would’ve happened if it weren’t for this blog.

As for this weekend? I’ve learnt 3 things.

  1. I don’t suit culottes. I’m buying some anyway.
  2. I’m capable of more than I think and need to stop being so hard on myself.
  3. I still fancy the eff out of Miles Teller.

That’s July for ya.

What have you been up to this month?
