Mini Body Shop haul + reviews

13th December 2015

A few weeks ago I bought a couple of new products from The Body Shop and what better time to write a review than just before Christmas, as they would make perfect little stocking fillers for beauty lovers!

First up, I was in desperate need of a new face wash/cleanser as I was getting extremely lazy when it came to skin care, especially with make up removal. My skin had started to blemish quite badly and I could see a few pesky spots appearing. My skin is also extremely sensitive so I needed a product that isn’t too harsh. Some of my friends swear by the well known cleanser from The Body Shop, so I knew it would be a good one to go for.

The wash feels and smells absolutely amazing, really light and fresh. It is a non-sticky, non-drying formula that doesn’t feel heavy on the skin, with the application not being messy at all, which you can find with some cleansers. A little goes a long way and I find one pump of the cleanser is enough to cover the whole face. It is easy to remove by rinsing away with warm water and the face feels clean and fresh all day.

I highly recommend this product for all skin types, especially for the sensitive type as it is so gentle. This will definitely be a regular in my skin care routine!

Finding the right conditioner can be a pain and I find it is really hit and miss with what works best for certain hair types. I had just run out of my usual conditioner, so whilst on The Body Shop website I picked up some Banana Conditioner after reading copious amounts of positive reviews.

The conditioner smells divine, with the scent being present the second you open the lid. It reminds me of summer and holidays and of course, bananas!!! It isn’t overpowering at all, just the right amount. After first using the conditioner, I was a bit dubious as my hair was still massively tangled, but after the next couple of washes I realised this was down to the fact I hadn’t brushed my hair properly before getting in the shower and it is quite damaged.

It works a dream, hair is left feeling softer and looks healthier. I am pretty certain it made my hair go a bit lighter as well, as part of my hair is bleached but I could just be imagining this part.

I will definitely be purchasing again, but pairing it alongside a deep conditioner once every week or so.

I am talking about few The Body Shop skincare products in my blog (Evening Routine post) and also mention some other brands in my Empties post. You’d probably like The Body Sho Tea Tree Pore Minimizer gel type of cream. 🙂
