I think I’ve only mentioned it about three million times, but I love glowing, highlighted skin. I get ridiculously excited when I get to the highlight step when applying my makeup. It’s the little things in life, eh?
I’m always on the hunt for a new product to make me a glowing goddess so when I stumbled across Makeup Revolution’s Shimmer Brick range, I knew I had to get my hands on one.
There’s two in the range; Radiant and Rose Gold. Rose gold is more on the bronzey side of things and Radiant is a mix of champagne and golden shades. I picked up Radiant as I thought it would be better suited for my skin tone, but Rose Gold is equally as gorgeous and would give such a beautiful bronze shimmery glow which I bet would look ahhhmazing on holiday.
The packaging is so sleek and chic and looks like it belongs to a high end brand. Seriously, have a look at any of Makeup Revolution’s packaging and you’ll know what I mean.
Speaking of high end, MUR’s shimmer bricks are also a great dupe for Bobbi Brown’s Shimmer Brick range for a tiny percentage of the price. Win.
I use Radiant as a multi-purpose product. It looks so stunning as a cheekbone highlight, eye shadow and to highlight the brow bone and inner corner of the eyes. You’re really getting your money’s worth with this product and at £3, it’s the bargain of the century.
You can either use each shade as individuals depending on your look or swirl your brush around the pan for the ultimate copper shimmer. One sweep of your brush and you’re good to go. It’s so pigmented and a light hand is definitely recommended!
Like I said, at £3 it’s an absolute steal compared to £33. As with all of Makeup Revolution’s products, the quality is top notch for such a low price.
It’s worth giving it a go and even if it doesn’t win a place in your highlighter drawer, it’ll fit in perfectly alongside your eye shadow collection. Winner winner all round.
