Earlier this week, I attended Vapiano’s cocktail launch event. I was kindly invited to try out their first ever cocktail menu, which features an extensive range of delicious drinks; from your party favourites to Italian classics, there’s something for everyone!
Upon arrival, I was greeted by the friendly staff and I felt so welcome from the moment I walked in. I was handed my first cocktail of the night, a Raspberry Royale. Taking a seat, I was introduced to Emma and Corey from Down At The Social . It’s worth mentioning that I went alone and it was only the second ever blogging event I’ve attended, so I was nervous to say the least. The nerves lasted all of 5 minutes as I was quickly put at ease chatting to Emma and Corey.
While we were settling in for the evening, Antipasti Sharing Platters were available to enjoy. These were amazingly presented and consisted of various meats, cheeses and bruchetta.
The next cocktail we tried was a Vapiano Spritz. Similar to your traditional Aperol Spritz with an added twist of gin and rhubarb syrup, it was gorgeously presented.
The next cocktail we had was the delicious Mai Tai. I love a good Mai Tai so I was in my element with this cocktail, it was so good (although myself and Chelsea did spend approximately 10 minutes trying to get the perfect blog photos for you all before we tried it. I mean just look at that lighting!)
Next up was a Long Island Iced Tea. I’ve never had one of these so I was intrigued to give it a go. Iced tea is one of my favourite Summer drinks so I was hoping it would taste somewhat similar. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! Where is the heart eye emoji when you need it!?
Last but not least was 2 variations of gin + tonic; your well known classic and Vapiano’s twist of Hendrick’s tonic, rosemary and cucumber. I wasn’t really keen on either of these as I don’t really like gin, but for a gin lover they’ll taste amazing.
Alongside the gin + tonics, we were treated to a couple of delicious desserts to try. Vapiano make their own dolci every single day, using only the freshest ingredients. I love that you know exactly what you’re getting and that they’re made fresh each day.
You should always leave room for dolci at Vapiano. If you need an excuse, look no further than the Death By Chocolate and Panna Cotta. Again, where is that heart eye emoji!?
Both sweet treats were a perfect end to a perfect night. I will be heading back to Vapiano very soon for more cocktails and yummy food.
