Housing Units | Summer Range
When I found out Housing Units were hosting their second ever blogger event, I jumped at the chance to go along. If you know me, you’ll know just how much i’m obsessed with the place. I would happily spend every day of my life in the store!
Opening its doors in 1947, Housing Units is Manchester’s biggest Home Furnishing Centre. The store boasts over 200,000 square feet of home ware and interior design ideas with 30,000 exciting products on offer.
Meeting at The Wickentree Restaurant and greeted by store manager, Richard and Martyn and Georgie of Rumpus PR, the evening began with a glass of rosé and a run-down of the evening’s events.
We were given a tour of the two main buildings by Richard who gave us lots of information on the various products in the Summer sale and new stock.
Starting at the Emporium and Fireplace Centre, the vast range of characteristic fireplaces are a best-seller during the Summer sale. From your traditional surrounds to sleek and stylish wall-mounted electric fireplaces, there’s the perfect fireplace to suit every aesthetic.
Making our way to the bathroom department, the minimalistic designs make these bathrooms a place of style and glamour.
The garden section is as exciting as ever, with stylish outdoor furniture that’s perfect year-round.
Late August, everything in the Emporium is removed and replaced with an abundance of Christmas decor, leaving the store glistening with festive magic. This year, Christmas launches on 9th September so make sure you mark it in your diaries!
Equally as dazzling are the elegant chandeliers and stunning rose-gold lighting. Fascinatingly on-trend, they are definitely the show-stoppers of the range.
Before making our way back to The Wickentree Restaurant, we entered a world of blogger paradise; the Yankee Candle section.
The candles are undoubtedly a best-seller in the Summer sale, with Scent of the Month being a major hit.
Coming full circle and arriving back at The Wickentree Restaurant, we were presented with a selection of delicious food from the new menu, including delights such as prosecco-battered fish, mini burgers and Caesar salad.
You guys know by now how much I love a good cup of tea, so when Housing Units let us pick an item worth up to the value of £30 to take home, I headed straight for the teapots*. I was also gifted a cute notebook* which is my new favourite blogging accessory!
Thank you so much to Housing Units and Rumpus PR for putting on such a spectacular event. If you’re ever in the Manchester area (or even if you’re not, it’s worth travelling for!) Housing Units is 100% worth the visit, whether you’re after new homeware or just want an exciting day out with a lavish meal at the end of it. The Summer Sale is now on!!
Disclaimer: I attended Housing Units as a guest + as always, all opinions, words and photography are my own.
