Is This The Ultimate Summer Beauty Hack?

You’re probably well aware of the oh-my-god-it’s-too-hot heatwave that graced the UK last week. It was verging on 30°C and the entire country was in meltdown. We’re not equipped for that sort of weather over here!

Day one and I decided it would be a FANTASTIC idea to go along like normal and put on my full coverage foundation. What an idiot.

After approximately 3.5 seconds it had all melted off and I was left with blotches of cakey foundation and regretted ever leaving the house.

I was kicking myself for not investing in a Summer suitable base but then I thought, why not make my own tinted moisturiser?

It’s the easiest thing in the world and I honestly don’t know why I didn’t think of it sooner!

All I did was mix 1 pump of my everyday foundation with my regular moisturiser. It’s as simple as that!

What made it even better is that my foundation- Rimmel Lasting Finish – contains SPF 20 which is an essential during warm weather.

It stayed put all day, my skin had a gorgeous glow and looked so natural.

I can’t believe I hadn’t thought of this little trick before but it’s my new go-to for those hot, humid days!

Pretty new invention and I totally agree with you as the past couple of days, it has been quite hectic with staying power of makeup and to be honest, it was literally running away from the face. Not a good scene at all! I just sealed to powder foundation after moisturiser ion and strictly skipped fluid foundation which in turn had a good staying power

Living in a tropical climate it’s so funny hearing people talking about 30 degrees as their heat wave ahaahah 🙂 I usually thin out my foundation with moisturizer as well or an oil if my face is extra dry.

Hahaha 30 degrees is so unusual over here and no one can handle it!
