Remember, remember, the Fifth of November.
This weekend was Bonfire Night as i’m sure you’re well aware. It’s fireworks and toffee apples galore, easily my favourite time of year.
To celebrate, I threw a little party with Aldi. The intention was to have a BBQ as a quirky take on your traditional November get-together….but this is the United Kingdom and of course the weather wasn’t on my side.
That wasn’t going to stop us though and the party went ahead.
Still sticking with the BBQ theme of things, I cooked a range of Aldi’s burgers along with an array of party foods.
Aldi feature many delicious recipes which i’ll be trying out during the winter months. If I weren’t spending the evening playing hostess, I would’ve given them a whirl over bonfire weekend!
After dining, we managed to find a dry half an hour where we could go into the garden and get out the sparklers. It was definitely one of the highlights of the night and enhanced the Autumnal vibes.
We came inside and indulged in the Holly Lane Cupcake Platter. A choice between toffee and chocolate cupcakes, they tasted amazing! I’d recommend treating yourself to one of these during the festive season.
Finally, the drinks were flowing and we enjoyed a good few rounds of Celebrity Juice’s ‘Don’t Show Keith Your Teeth’.
The get-together really set the tone for November and got everyone in the festive spirit. Aldi made hosting a party so simple as everything was available to ensure guests had everything they needed….even down to the adorable mini squash I picked up for table decor.
Aldi is definitely going to continue to be my go-to store for any future gatherings and I can’t wait to host my next one!
