Skinny Tan and Tone Oil Review

14th December 2016

Fake tan was never my forté and ever since an orange disaster a few years back, I haven’t dared touching it.

When Skinny Tan got in touch asking if I’d like to try their new Tan and Tone Oil*, I was excited to give it a go. I’ve heard alllll good things about the brand that was founded by Kate Cotton and Louise Ferguson, who appeared on Dragon’s Den.

It’s no wonder the tan has such a good reputation and is already stocked all over Australia, as the formula improves the skin- in particularly cellulite- while providing a natural, flawless tan.

The oil is easy to apply and after exfoliating and showering I lightly applied the tan and let it develop for around eight hours.

Skinny Tan’s mitt is super-soft and had such a luxurious feel to it. The coconut-scented tan applied like a dream and I had no problems with the application. It didn’t feel sticky and I forgot I’d even applied the tan!

My first initial impression after leaving it to develop was fantastic and I absolutely loved it, but after a few more hours I noticed that it was actually a little streaky and patchy in some places. However, I am definitely putting that down to myself not being an experienced tan user!

I am going to be giving the tan another go and hopefully I’ll get it right this time.

Skinny Tan currently have a buy-one-get-one-free  offer on, so now is the time to top up that tan while you’re dreaming of your Summer hols.

Have you tried Skinny Tan?

Oh thank you so much for this review Emma. I have had countless disasters after applying self tanning products sometimes resulting in me having to cancel plans and stay on doors until I’ve managed to scrub it all off. This product sounds great and I’ll definitely be giving it a go !

As always you have given a brilliant review and I’m sure many people are inspired by your comments, and like myself try things they would never have thought of without reading about it on your website.

Thanks again and have a lovely day. Looking forward to your next blog already !
