Mate Date With The Printworks

7th February 2017

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, you may find yourself deciding where to go for the big day, whether it be a romantic date night or a get-together with the girls for #GALentine’sDay.

Well, if you’ve ever been to Manchester, you’ll know that in The Printworks, everything you need for a great night is under one roof. With a range of restaurants and bars along with the ODEON, there is something for everyone.

On Saturday, we decided to do just that and went for a mate date for fabulous food and a film.

We chose Wagamama to start off the evening. I’ve never been before but I’ve heard soooo many great things about it so we just had to give it a go!

As it was a Saturday night, it was extremely busy as expected. We were so glad we had booked a table beforehand- I would definitely recommend doing so if you’re going on a weekend.

The staff were so friendly and happy to help with anything. Our waitress apologised for how busy the restaurant was and explained the ordering process to us newbies- the food comes out as and when it is ready.

We started off by ordering a fresh juice each…I went for the tropical juice while my friend went for the clean green. The juices were delicious and a great change to the usual fizzy drinks (….or wine) we usually have with dinner.

After scanning the menu at home, we immediately decided we would have to order Ebi Katsu.

For mains, I went for the good ol’ classic Chicken Ramen which did not disappoint, while my friend went for Yaki Udon.

After dinner, we walked two-minutes to the ODEON to get our cinema fix. La La Land was the film of the night. I was excited to see what all the fuss was about and if it lived up to the hype….

….There’s too much to say about it to fit it into this post, so I’ll be posting a full review later in the week.

At around 11pm, we left the ODEON and headed back to the train station…which, you guessed it, is a two-minute walk away from The Printworks.

So whether you’re heading out with bae or a night of cocktails with the girls, you’ll be certain to find what you’re looking for in The Printworks.
