My Winter Style Staples
We’re into November already!? I can’t stop saying it, but I just can’t believe how quick this year has gone! I heard my first Christmas song the other day in a shop…it has begun. It does seem a bit early, but by the middle of the month I’ll have watched The Holiday three times and made my way through the Costa Christmas menu.
Nothing gets me in the mood for Christmas like a Winter wardrobe and now we’re well and truly heading into THE best season, my Summer clothes are long shoved at the back of my wardrobe to make room for alllll the cosy knitwear and ankle boots.
LOTD (Look Of The Day) have quickly become one of my favourite fashion brands and I seriously cannot get enough of their clothes. Whether you’re after some on-trend work wear for your 9-5 or a new party dress for this weekend’s massive night out with the girls, they’ve got you covered.
On the lookout for some new Winter staples, I picked out three of my must-have pieces for the colder months. Not only are they super affordable, they’re the pieces that keep coming back every single year, so you’re guaranteed to stay bang on-trend for years to come.
The Slash Neck Jumper, £12
A knitted jumper is an obvious staple for the Winter but I love to switch it up a bit with a slouchy, off the shoulder piece. Combining the trend of 2017, off the shoulder, with cosy knitwear is going to keep you looking effortlessly stylish until Spring.
The Camel Coat, £40
I’ve been lusting after a camel coat for years now and finally I have one to call my own. I absolutely fell in love with this coat when I spotted it on the site and haven’t looked back. It’s sooo warm and comfy and generously sized. I usually worry about coat sizes and have issues with them fitting comfortably over my chest. I ordered the coat in a M/L and it fits perfectly with plenty of room to wear a thick jumper underneath for when it’s really really cold.
The Chelsea Boots, £25
It’s not Autumn/Winter without a pair of classic Chelsea boots! I love them for everyday wear and the gold detailing on the heel really completes them. I like to pair mine with a pair of skinny jeans and a slouchy jumper.
So there you have it! Three of my style staples for the colder months.
