The future of this blog

28th May 2019

Hey, how are you doing? It has been a little while hasn’t it.

You may have noticed things have changed slightly around here. New layout and well, a lot less content.

When I first started up Earth to Emma, I stuck to a down-to-the-minute schedule, writing two posts a week and hitting publish at exactly 5pm on a Tuesday and a Sunday.

Since then, due to life/scheduling/quite honestly a lack of inspiration, these posts have become less organised and more of an if-and-when-I-have-the-time type of situation.

You’ll also have noticed that my content has changed over the last year or so. Back in twenty fifteen, this blog was exclusively beauty focused with a bit of travel added in every so often. These days, things are a lot different. I don’t even HAVE a beauty section on this site?

So where am I going with this?

I wanna change things. I want my inspiration back. I want to fall back in love with my blog.

So here’s what you can expect from me.

More posts, less overthinking the content

I want to get back into posting more. I want the content to be more me, more unpolished, if you will. I don’t wanna sit and overthink a post because it’s only 700 words. I want to publish more off the cuff content, use this blog as both a place for news and information as well as diary-style posts and sit down chats with my favourite people.

What kinda posts you can find

  • Theatre. I blumming love theatre and want to share this love with the world. Fresh new shows from the West-End, UK tours and beyond. My Broadway experiences. Chats with some incredible actors, producers and writers.
  • Travel. Travel is a huge part of my life and has given me some of the most unreal experiences and the best memories. So I want to share this. I want to let you know about what food I ate in Asia and the people I met in America.
  • Lifestyle. Diary-style posts that give you more of an insight into me as a person. What I’m watching, where I’m going and what I did or didn’t learn that week. What it’s like to live in the North West of England.

More photos

I wanna take more photos. I wanna get in more photos. I wanna add these to my words, to keep things more visual.

I want to get to know you

I want to get to know the people who read this blog. I want you to leave me a comment on new posts and let me know your thoughts. I want to know what you’re having for your tea and what you’re doing this weekend.

So yeah, I think I have covered everything for now. And I hope you can stick around, I would love to have you.

Ah I’m glad you’re not going anywhere and very much looking forward to reading more. I actually prefer reading more natural, Dear Diary blogs over beauty content personally x
